More Than Just an Art Class
These sessions are about more than learning techniques, they’re about building confidence, curiosity, and creative resilience. Whether your child is just beginning or already passionate about art, I meet each student right where they are. Together, we explore color, texture, and self-expression in ways that foster both artistic skill and emotional growth.
I believe the creative process teaches valuable life skills: patience, problem-solving, and the joy of experimentation. My goal is to make each session a space where students feel safe to take risks, try new ideas, and discover what art can teach them about themselves.

Creative Gatherings for Adults (Coming Soon!)
There’s something special about creating together — the laughter, the color, the unhurried joy of making something by hand. These small, seasonal gatherings are designed for adults who want to unwind, connect, and explore art in a relaxed, outdoor setting.
Whether it’s watercolor under the patio lights or a mixed-media night with friends, each session will offer simple instruction, beautiful materials, and plenty of space to play.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What ages do you work with?
Most of my private art sessions are designed for ages 5–14, though I’m happy to work with older teens as well. Sessions are always customized to fit your learner’s age, experience, and interests. If you’re not sure if it’s a fit — just ask!
Where do sessions take place?
Private art sessions are held in my home studio in Gilbert, AZ. (Cross streets provided upon booking.) In some cases, I may be able to travel to your location for small-group sessions — reach out if you’re interested!
Do I need to provide any supplies?
Students have access to a variety of quality materials here in the studio. For home exploration or specialty projects, I may suggest families purchase specific tools or supplies to support continued learning outside of class.
How do I schedule a session?
Just click the Request a Private Art Session button on this page and fill out the short form. I’ll follow up within 1–2 business days to finalize the details, answer any questions, and schedule your session.
Can I use ESA funds for a private art session?
Yes! I’m an approved ESA vendor through ClassWallet (listed as Cori Jo’s Studio). After we schedule your session, I’ll send a customized PDF to submit with your payment request. More info is available in the ESA section above.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?
I totally understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so I can plan accordingly. No-shows or last-minute cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling.
